Rev-W-The devil's BackboneWhilst rebellious Kit Metcalf faces her demons by working in a strip joint and drinking too much vodka, her sister Jenny does everything right - following in her father’s footsteps she has become a cop in the Austin Police Department, and a good one at that, and now she is marrying Detective Luke Saner.

The sister’s rarely meet but do so for a meal when Jenny introduces Luke to her father. Within days one of them is murdered. As the surviving sister investigates the murder of the other, she feels unable to trust anyone aware of danger around her, but not from what source.  Like many good mysteries the solution lies close to home, but it’s difficult to believe evil of those you know and particularly those you love.

I read this book in one sitting, just couldn’t put it down. There is no indication that this is the start of a series but I hope that it is, particularly as despite the satisfying solution to the murder, the personal ending is enticingly left open.
