The book starts with Chief Inspector Glass trying to solve the murder of an actor. Detective Sergeant Evans discovers his teenage goddaughter has been tricked into making pornographic films. Glass becomes involved in tracking down the filmmakers and discovers a sinister ring of pornographers linked by the Internet. Another young girl goes missing and the police believe she may have been taken by a serial killer. They have to work quickly to try to find her before she=s killed.
The different styles of investigation used by the police in the book made it
seem more realistic. The novel has a fast paced, well-plotted narrative. There
are the usual touches of black humour found in Ron Ellis's books. This made
the horrific parts of the story stronger due to the contrast. I found the book
chilling in parts and some of the images were hard to forget
