With the road south closed and the ferry shut, Georgia Parish hitches a ride on her old friend Bri’s plane, to get back to Cairns, after attending her grandfathers funeral in her home town of Nulgarra in Northern Queensland.

Despite her hasty flight from Nulgarra, Georgia finds herself back there, and with questions. Who were the other passengers?. The beautiful Suzie Wilson and the silent Lee Denham, and what of the missing passenger Ronnie Chen? The only good thing About being back is that the police Sergeant is Daniel Carter whom she adored from afar when they were both at school.

India Kane, a reporter from the Sydney Morning Herald seems keen to help her , But before she has time to consider her next move she is plunged into a terrifying nightmare. This is an incredible book. The speed with which things happened had me gasping. This is a book you devour, that is when you manage to catch your breath. There is shock upon shock in store for the reader.

For Georgia her world has condensed down to just her, for she is in mortal danger. Who can she trust, who dare she trust. With time running out Georgia embarks on a hazardous enterprise for the answers that will save, not only her life.

The flash backs that provide the background to Georgia past are woven effortlessly into the story but give a clear picture of why Georgia is as she is.

The best book I have read this year. Atmospheric, gripping, thrilling, compelling. Read it.
