Read by Gordon Griffin

Alex and Kate Shepard find their perfect home when they buy the Parsonage in rural Wiltshire. Wandering around the two acre garden one morning, Alex finds a rose, startling blue in colour, tucked away. This exciting discovery catapults them into a different world. The discovery could be worth millions and everyone will want it, so whom can they trust?

They turn to gardening expert Lawrence Kingston who outlines to them a course of action. Guided by him they contact a solicitor to handle the matter, but there are unscrupulous people who know the rose’s worth and are not about to wait. Before long Alex and Kate find themselves out of their depth, so Lawrence Kingston sets out to uncover the origins of the Blue Rose. Then a death occurs - could this be connected to the Rose?

I thought that Gordon Griffin did a good job with the different characters, especially Lawrence Kingston. This is I understand the first Lawrence Kingston gardening mystery.
