Read by Lorelei King

When Stephanie Plum ‘Fugitive Apprehension Agent’ tries to help a neighbour Mabel Markowitz, whose daughter Evelyn, and granddaughter seven year old Annie Soder have disappeared, she encounters more than she bargained for. Shady Steven Soder, Evelyn’s husband has, with his wife signed a custody bond, and Evelyn’s half is secured on her mother’s house.

In between attempting to apprehend violent drunk Andy Bender, who has missed his court date, and an old lady accused of auto theft, Stephanie encounters scary Eddie Abruzzi who seems to have an unhealthy interest in Mabel Markowitz’s property.

Lula is back, as is Grandma Mazur who manages to take the wind out of Rangers sails when he asked Stephanie ‘ why does your Grandma look at me that way’, Stephanie’s says ‘She wants to see you naked’ ‘I wish you hadn’t told me that’ said Ranger. It brings new meaning to men undressing women with their eyes! Lorelei King is simply wonderful and I am again reminded of the difference the reader can make to a book .I have read all the previous books in the series and I am firmly a Morelli girl, however

Lorelei King’s portrayal of Ranger, with that sexy accent, and Morelli’s hold on me is weakening. A wonderful reading, I cannot recommend it too highly.
