A-C-The Hard WayJack Reacher, always vigilant, enjoying a coffee, idly watches a man come out of a building and get into a car. A day later his memory of this seemingly uneventful event becomes of enormous interest to one man, and Reacher finds himself advising a group of men he loosely brands as mercenaries.  But his theories in this instant fail him, for events do not pan out quite how he envisages them and Reacher is very rarely wrong, he knows just how things go down, but this case just does not conform to what he knows, and Reacher is good.

So he throws out his theories and starts to work the case clue by clue  - ‘the hard way’.  Taking nothing on trust he begins to question the guy for whom he is working -  the guy just  doesn’t seem to add up. And then Reacher discovers that he is not the only one on the case.  So exactly what are the other party looking for and who are they?

Killing, kidnapping,, shock  upon shock  - the action starts in New York and moves to Norfolk  in England.  Lee Child at his best.

And of course Jeff Harding also at his best.  He is Reacher  and  of course all the other characters as well, but Jeff makes it like a dramatisation as his range of voices are so distinct I forget the book is actually being read.
