When Jack Reacher sees a face from the past, someone he was certain was dead, getting into a limousine outside Boston Symphony Hall , he uses his old contacts to track the owner of the limousine, but finds himself under the spotlight.
As he inveigles himself into a position to get close to Quinn, we learn of the evil Francis Xavier Quinn through a series of flashbacks that Child weaves effortlessly into the story, so that we are following two investigations, the former one ten years previous, when Reacher was a military cop.
There are some absolutely fascinating escapades by Reacher in this adventure. Another heart-stopping page-turner, is how this book is described and I can’t ague with that.
All the earlier Reacher books to which I have listened have been read by Jeff
Harding and I was slightly perturbed when I saw that this one was read by Dick
Hill, but I needn’t have worried, Dick Hill was brilliant in portraying Reacher,
and did an excellent job with all the characters
