Read by Jeff Harding

On a Friday afternoon in a small town in Indiana, five people are killed when a lone gunman shoots into a crowd of people on their way home for the weekend.. The police are on the scene in minutes and pinpoint the sniper to a parking garage. Within a short space of time they have their man - James Barr, and from the evidence a watertight case. James Barr refuses to speak, he utters only a few words to his lawyer "Get Jack Reacher for me".

Reacher is sunning himself in Miami with a most attractive lady, but when he hears the news on the television , he is on his way within minutes. But being Reacher he takes the bus figuring nothing much will happen on the weekend.

Meanwhile Rosemary Barr, James's sister, is dissatisfied with the lawyer her firm have provided and having little money sets out to find one who will take the case, maybe a new hungry lawyer - she finds Helen Rodin, but she is the daughter of the District Attorney!

When Reacher fronts up he may not be the saviour that the defence is seeking. Reacher has his own reasons for turning up. But he is also meticulous in his quest for the truth and this case is amazingly water tight - or is it? This book has all the elements that Jack Reacher fans have come to love. A seemingly unsolvable case.

It is narrated, by Jeff Harding, who is for me Reacher, and as always provides the listener with an exciting interpretation of a wonderful adventure. Highly, highly recommended. The best.
