A Better Class of Person is the second book in the series featuring former Crown Prince Gregory of Hirtenstein, now better known as Gregory Crowne. This time around, he finds himself (along with his girlfriend) on a private Greek island ostensibly to attend a lavish birthday party but in reality investigating the mystery of what has happened to scare his former childhood friend.
Read by Gordon Griffin, A Better Class of Person is an interesting tale
involving elaborate disguises, fraud, and scandal. Barclay’s story is effectively
narrated and Griffin manages to portray the individual characters with an ease
that comes across quite naturally. Even though the exotic setting cannot be
translated into audio, one does gain the feeling from the narration of being
in foreign climes.
